ascha Huckstepp’s start in the industry as a successful 16-year old actor in Australia quickly led to a lead role in a long running series in the UK. After a few fruitful years she returned to Australia to have a child and began working as a stills producer, which provided her with her first taste of casting.

Sascha then moved into theatrical representation, working for one of Sydney’s leading acting agencies. She spent the next few years garnering her broad and valuable experience in negotiation of contracts across all broadcast mediums.

Throughout this time she also built relationships with directors, producers, advertising agencies and their clients Australia wide and internationally.

Feeling like she had 80 children of her own she progressed seamlessly into the world of music promotion, Sascha marketed and promoted some of the best local and international touring acts, stretching her talents to tour manager. She assisted in producing the grand opening of Star City Casino, starring Diana Ross, Tom Jones and Michael Crawford which was a major event with a free outdoor concert, 3 simultaneous VIP parties and telecast live on channel 9.

Sascha then worked as Marketing and Front of House manager for the opening series of concerts at the Lyric Theatre, catering to the whims and needs of performers such as and kd Lang, Michael Crawford, Natalie Cole, Jimmy Barnes and many others.

Needing sleep, she chose to go 9 to 5 as a marketing director at Publicis Drum, the PR, marketing and promotional arm of Publicis and MojoPartners.

At this time Sascha headed up a team responsible for major clients including Telstra, Maxxium and Goodman Fielder.

Sascha then went into a business partnership in 2001 setting up a casting consultancy and quickly expanded the business to turn their studios into a high turnover hire facility. After 4 years and many great campaigns later she decided to down scale and work from home so she could spend more time with her son.

Over the next 12 months as the industry had a bit of a down turn, whilst maintaining her casting consultancy she took on the role of Managing Agent of The Stunt Agency, looking after the country’s leading Stunt Coordinators and Stunt Performers. She worked on Superman and pre pre production for Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Australia’ and with the elite of the countries action directors and production companies.

The past four years Sascha has moved into longer formats, short and feature films, back to her performance roots, which she is looking to expand even further.

Sascha brings with her a well-rounded history and a vast experience and knowledge of performance, negotiation, client interests, agency workings and responsibilities.
